Learning About The Snore Guard

There is quite a selection of snore relief treatments and products out on the market today, but if you want to go with one that you know is going to work quickly and effectively, the Snore Guard is going to be the ideal choice for you.

The Snore Guard is a fantastic snore remedy, but before you go out and purchase it to try yourself, you are going to want to learn more about it and what it involves.

How It Works

The Snore Guard is an oral appliance that somewhat resembles an athletic mouthpiece. It is small and flexible and has no moving parts, hoses or batteries. This is important because then you know you never have to worry about losing or breaking parts, batteries dying or having it be difficult to insert.

How To Get One

If you are interested in trying out the Snore Guard for yourself, the first thing you are going to need to do is make an appointment to see your dentist. It will only take a single visit for them to fit the device to your mouth and you can take it home with you right after that one appointment.

They will prepare the blank form by placing it in a water bath and then bringing it to a boil. They will leave it in the boiling water for about a minute and maybe more. Once the device begins to get softer and starts to float to the top of the water, and they will then remove it from the water and allow it to cool.

They will then begin to center the mouthpiece to your upper teeth, pushing up firmly as they do so. They will need to make sure that you insert your teeth into the plastic so that your bite is molded in, and then you will have to bite into the thermoplastic at the bottom of the mouthpiece and hold for a few seconds. Your lower jaw should be in a normal position and not advanced, and in less than a minute the thermoplastic will become firm and the dentist will remove the mouthpiece from your mouth.

The Snore Guard is definitely at least worth a try, and if you come to find that it does not do enough to relieve your snoring, you may want to consider snoring surgery, which is basically the last resort for snoring problems. You will need to discuss this idea with your doctor who will need to make sure you are an eligible candidate for the procedure.
